Up and away

Hey all! I've been meaning to post this for a while, but I'm still getting used to shadows in sl and trying to get used on how to use them. Mainly inspired by the new LAQ skin called Olivia with lovely freckles and a cute face, also LAQ has gotten into the world of tattoo makeup layers, which is very good news for many of us.

On the other hand, the new AOHARU hairs released for hair fair are completely adorable and the new releases in clothing gave an interesting twist to the usual summer fashion. Now last, but not least it's the cute LeLutka bag, called after a culture and national park very close to my heart and home.

Amongst the feathers and the dandelions

This time around, I come with the latest from DUTCH TOUCH, an updated version of the Jolie skin. Without a doubt Jolie used to be pretty before, but you can't even imagine now! I'm in love with the fact that you can mix the tattoo layer makeups with the skins, you can spend hours looking at all the options you have now. My favourite eye makeups from Iki have always been cat eyes and the Eagle eye makeup, so I decided to mix those with some of the lipstick tattoo layers.

Also as it is usual I couldn't resist coming up with a new look, using the new lovely cardigan from Tokidoki.

The Black Swan

This week, one of the most exciting new releases was League's new skin, Amber. As always, lovely facial features, excellent body shading and the light eyebrows are the perfect opportunity to wear those blonde hairs wanting to come out for a while from my inventory.

Thanks to a couple of friends inspiration came to me, finally, after having once again a severe case of bloggers block. Anemysk was kind enough to send me her new lashes, which I'm sure you've seen all over the feeds (and that's because they're awesome!), the lashes represent the four elements: water, air, earth and water. I found them really creative and wanted to portray them in a way I can do them justice, that's when Mandra Moody came to the rescue and showed me a store with amazing and a bit eccentric hair that was just perfect for what I was going for.

A little bit late as usual, but here I am with the new Belleza skin: Elle. And after trying them on, I have to say they're doing justice to the brand name: Belleza which means beauty in spanish. These skins are just how I like them to be, subtle but with enough shading to make the body realistic and sexy. They also have a new skin tone which is perfect for all the pale skin lovers out there (like me), the fair skin tone is the answer for all of us that found the pale skin tone a bit too dark for our taste.

It's been over a month since I last did a post, the longest period of time in the year and a half of this blog, but what's important is that I'm here now it took some time but I bring two looks a double post to try to make up for the long absence. I've been meaning to do some looks made mostly with soft and pastel colors, quite a challenge for me considering I love contrasts and I love black and red, but here I come! The first look reflects spring and my desire to make something soft and natural, I pictured myself running in some garden or field. The second look is inspired by Christian Dior's couture collection for spring 2010 soft color which had more of a baroque feel but this is my interpretation. Anyway, I hope you enjoy these looks!

Baroque Twist

I've been neglecting blogging I know, it's been a crazy couple of weeks in rl but I hope to be here more often in February. But now let's talk fashion! I've been inspired lately by the baroque modern trend for interior design, which I love, lots of bright colors and damask (which if you haven't noticed by now I adore) so I wanted an outfit to match and I ended up coming up with two: the first one more bold with flashy accessories provided by UZURI and the second one more soft and cute.

I'm aware many have blogged this wonderful DUTCH TOUCH skins already, but they're one of my latest obsessions, I love the pouty lips, the eyebrows and the body shading. Iki was kind enough to send me a couple of makeups of the new skin SjoRs, there are Licious in the cocoa skin tone and Basic in the cream skin tone (freckles option). I can't wait to see what more comes out of her great artistic mind, I will certainly stay tuned!

The sl fashion scene has become a really exciting place the last couple of weeks, with the re-opening of the Tableau sim that came with a new collection from Paper Couture, the Designers United event and the new skins from &Bean.

Pillow is the new face brought to sl courtesy of Keiko Morigi, and like her previous skin work, Pillow is unique, a skin with character that remains soft and delicate. AOHARU's new Knit Coat feels like the perfect item to keep your pixels warm through this cold season. Mixed with the new Reek scarves and the new BOOM pants I felt it was time to hit the snow and drink something hot. The perfect place was next to Callie Cline's store and the place where Seven Ultra Lounge used to be in, which is now a winter wonderland I strongly recommend a visit.

I just have no idea what to call this, but here it is, plane and simple an autumn look. I've been drooling over the BAX prestige boots for quite a while and I was waiting for the right occation to include them in a look, and this was it, no matter what color (brown, red or black) the prestige boots are in my opinion one of the best out there in sl at this time. Also the new knits from AOHARU are a must have for the fall/winter sl fashion they come in two models one with a high turtle neck (which I wanted to wear with the coat and the necklace, but damn you sl with the limited attachment points! >.<) and a simple round neck version.

I have to admit I've been a little obsessed lately with the Louis Vuitton looks , and what's been feeding my obsession more lately is the fact that Maria Gherardi made the Louis Jackets, which were what it was missing from my inventory to be able to accomplish the perfect representation of the Louis Vuitton looks.

It's all about mixing textures and colors when it comes to this outfits, and the shoes help along with the beads, feathers and fringes. The latest releases from ANEXX and Maitreya and the new jewelry from Zaara were key elements to accomplish the spring - summer '09 Louis Vuitton look.

The new Maitreya shoe line has fashionistas across the grid in a shoe frenzy, and with very good reason! They are simply fabulous! After thinking about what color to get for about an hour, I finally went for the Salience beaded shoes in Midnight, which remind me very much of the spring-summer of 09 Louis Vuitton collection, so I tried making a look inspired by the looks Vuitton showed on the runway.

Pale Skin Lovers

The new skins from League, Misty have been my latest obsession and I've been anxiously waiting for it to be released in the pale skin tone, and today it finally was released! It's a very exciting day for all the pale skin lovers like me, who had demoed Misty over and over again. All I can tell you is that the wait was definitively worth it!

Misty comes in a wide variety of makeups, with excellent shading, realistic lips and belly button and a very sexy and sweet face. It also comes with different cleavage options and with a selection of blonde or brunette eyebrows. I particularly like the shading in the stomach, that gives a natural but toned appearance, but the feature I like the most are drawn lashes which makes it easier for those who don't like to wear prim lashes.

Either you like pale, tan or dark. Misty is a total win!

fri.day it's the new store that seems to be the latest buzz in the sl fashion community lately and with good reason! They provide amazing basic pieces which are a must have, when it comes to complete any outfit. Every clothing item comes with several layering options, which makes them great when it comes to mix and match with other items in your inventory.

So that is what I did with the fri.day items, play mix and match! I came up with two outfits, to show all of you that the key to a fantastic look is to start with good quality basics.

Shoe Luv @ First Sight!

The lovely machang Pichot will be releasing soon her new shoe line called ANEXX, she was kind enough to give me some of the upcoming ANEXX shoes. All I can say is that it was Shoe Luv @ First Sight, ever since we met we're inseperable and I don't see a break up coming any time soon. I've found true shoe loving!

Channeling Antoinette

It's no secret Marie Antoinette was a fashion icon, so much that after centuries her opulence and style are still remembered. Tiny Bird's hair for the Black Swan Swansong fashion show reminded me of the long gone french queen and it made me wonder how would Marie Antoinette look like if she lived amongst us in these modern days? And here I bring to you my attempts, or my guesses of what a modernized Marie Antoinette look would be like. Pastel colors, flowers and bows reign these looks.

The new So Many Styles T-shirt Dresses come with a lovely corsage which inspired me to create this look. It all came together quite easily and naturally just really playing around with different stuff I had in my inventory and hadn't wore in a while, I really liked the results and decided to blog it. So ok I know I'm late and that by now almost every sl fashion blog out there has been talking and posting looks with LeLutka's Summer Collection. I've been meaning to do a summery look like this one, and LeLutka's Gaenor dress gave me the perfect chance to do a very summery stylish look. It's something I picture someone wearing in the Caribbean or at the Hamptons while on a shopping spree.

It's not usual for me to blog twice in one day, but today something extraordinary happened: Viva La Glam reopened! I faced something traumatic last year, after VG Republic closed, sl ate around 1k items of my inventory and I lost all my VG stuff :( . That's why after I heard the news I immediately ran to their store and got me this beautiful dress and leggings, I fell in love with the textures but I decided to match the skirt with the top of another dress made by Beauty Avatar. Who knew that wine and champagne would be such a fantastic combination?

Erin is Bebae's new release! The skins have an awesome shading and they come with different eyebrow options for blondes and brunettes. I like how natural they are and still maintain a great attention to detail, the belly and the cleavage are very well done and they're subtle, which is always a plus for me. I also love the facial features because they're soft and delicate.

Fawn Loves Flowers

This blog post was mainly inspired by this dress made by the incredible OMGWTF Barbecue, and it will be realeased tomorrow! The Leda Dress it's sheer and see through and absolutely dreamy. For the picture I was thinking first a garden or something more summery, but once I tried this Photo Set made by La petite morte, I realized they belonged together :)

Lately I'm a bit obsessed with flowers and I love the head pieces WILD O makes, but this time I went a little bit further and I tried with a tattoo which I felt matched this look.
