The 80's

It's not a secret the fact that the 80's have been making a strong comeback, elements such as leggings and leg warmers have a place in our everyday wardrobe once again. This trend is far from fading away, if anything it's getting stronger. One of the stores in sl that has taken care of preserving such trend has been Emery, luckily enough they have a new collection out and of course I couldn't wait to get my hands on it.

My favorite was the new Emery Ringleader of the Tormentors Outfit (which I'm wearing in the first pic), and as everything in that store it combines 80's with Rock & Roll with such an explosive and fabulous mixture Emery captivates us yet again.

While I was feeling still 80's inspired from my visit to Emery, I went through my inventory and as a result this second outfit was born. I'll let all of you be the judges.

'Till the next time

Blanco & Negro

So last weekend I graduated in rl.. yay!! Since my school is not into the traditional graduation outfit (cap, gown and tassel) and well neither am I. I took it as an opportunity to go shopping in rl and after visiting many stores and having sore feet, ended up deciding to wear this: a white coat, black dress underneath, black basic tights and black and white heels (to keep it clean and simple). I spent some more time shopping in sl trying to recreate this look and Armidi gave me the chance do it, because luckily they have a coat almost identical to the one I wore.

And well black and white is always a good combination, a fantastic contrast that is bound to look just classy and elegant. I was lucky to find in both rl and sl the black and white heels that just finished the look (the only difference is that in rl I had to practice for weeks with them so I wouldn't fall on top of the dean while getting my diploma, which for those who know me, wouldn't come as a surprise).

P.S. I managed to get my diploma and I didn't trip :P

Oh Novocaine!

I have noticed that many blogs have talked about how great Novocaine's hair is, and it's true it's amazing. But we cannot leave aside the clothes, to show all of you how great they are I got two of the new releases (both in red , no surprise there huh?). The new Valencia dress is just to die for! the texture and detailing are gorgeous. To accessorize I decided to wear a necklace James gave me as a graduation gift, and which also happened to be a perfect match for this dress.
For the second outfit I went for a more casual look, wearing the new Novocaine's Genevieve Long Sweater with black leggings and a simple black scarf from Aoharu, which I stretched and made a little longer.

Bye!!

Kyoot Army's Hot Mess!

For all of the Kyoot Army fans out there, such as myself it was very good news when they began doing hair, and now I'm even happier because they released a new hair style called Hot Mess. It comes in two different versions with or without bangs, both are just plain fantastic. I like the fact that the hair seems to have an Amy Winehouse feel to it, without being a mere copy.
This is my favorite hair at this moment, I feel it can enhance any outfit and make you stand out!

Bye!

Warm & Cozy

These days it seems like it's getting colder by the minute, and that those tank tops and shorts will have to be stored until the sun decides to come out again. In the meantime, I'm getting all my jackets, sweaters and scarfs out there and I'm really happy about the new season that has arrived. I've always found the autumn- winter fashion collections much more interesting and elegant, I guess that's the reason why I won't be missing the summer days.

Since it's the time for warm and cozy clothing, I bring to you guys one of my recent discoveries: the new Laqroki Knit Cardigan. It's girly and cute I love it! Laqroki (as always) brings us top quality and style. I decided to accessorize with a hair band (those who are fans of Blair's style, know the fantastic twist a hair band can give to a whole outfit) from Chicoco, they have the best I've seen in sl so far. I went for a black and white combination, I always find that contrast appealing and classy.

Bye!

Enjoying UK Style

Hey there I'm back! and sooner than I expected to be, but today I found the most incredible new outfit on sl and I couldn't wait to tell you guys all about it. It all began when my friend Unbelievable Destiny took me to a great store called UK Couture. When I arrived to the store the "New" sign immediately got my attention, and under it was this cute outfit called Willow Couture that I just had own.

The great thing about this store is that you get the whole outfit including every minimal detail, (for a very reasonable price) in this case I even got a cap with blonde hair, so I can guarantee that you'll get your money's worth.

Hope you like it!

Getting down to business! (this is a fashion blog after all)

Okay so let me introduce myself for those who don't know me yet, my name is Lauryn Arado and I'm an SL shopaholic (okay I accept it I've got issues ) and I always go from store to store hunting down every new item in the apparel. In one of those many shopping expeditions I came across a very interesting belt at Chicoco and then I proceeded to find an outfit to go with it.

I decided to wear one of my old time favorites: the Armidi Keiko Tunic Dress, which matches perfectly with some brown leggings and heels of the same color. The belt can also be worn with this exact same dress in black and without the leggings, I just thought they were appropriate since autumn has arrived.

'Till the next time!

Vive la vie Bohème!

Ever since the Baz Luhrmann musical, Moulin Rouge hit the screens in 2001 I've been obsessed with it. He described a world in which a group of starving artists had as an inspiration the ideals of the Bohemian Revolution: Truth, Beauty, Freedom and Love. Call me a dreamer, and I probably am one, but those ideals sound pretty good to me. That's why I figured this could be a good theme for my first blog.

Definitively if someone made being a courtesan look good it was Nicole Kidman, at least she wasn't one of those unfortunate escorts that decide to wear tacky and skimpy underwear, after all she was the Sparkling Diamond. On the other hand, (and probably the main reason of why I love this movie) I have a major crush on Ewan McGregor I don't even know how to describe it but he has an special appeal XD.

I had the chance to visit the Moulin Rouge in rl and you can still feel a Boheme feel in the air, as you walk through the Montmaitre streets. It's and incredibly charming place that has been recreated in sl in two different sims (the Moulin Rouge and the 1900 Paris sim) and since I couldn't decide I used them both for my photoshoot.

Even though life might take you in the opposite direction of the Bohemian ideals, if you're a dreamer like me it's nice to take some time to relive La Vie Bohème.

Bye!! <3

P.S. I'd like to thank Brookie for being my model and being kind enough to endulge my crazy ways. And also I'm just getting started on photoshop, I hope you can all forgive my unprofesional pictures I expect things to get better with time and if they don't maybe James can do the pics for me... hehehehe.
